Sta diventando virale la parodia del singolo “Shape of you” del cantautore britannico Ed Sheeran, nella quale gli attivisti di Global Citizen si domandano ironicamente: “If Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of you' was about food waste?” che in italiano suonerebbe così: “E se 'Shape of you' di Ed Sheeran parlasse di spreco di cibo?”.

Un testo, quello scritto dai Global Citizen, che punta tutto sullo spreco di cibo, analizza i dati dello spreco e i suoi effetti sulla popolazione mondiale. A differenza di Ed Sheeran che nella sua canzone cerca di conquistare una improbabile ragazza con una cena romantica in un 'All you can eat', i Global Citizen al contrario parlano di fame, malnutrizione, di scadenza dei cibi, doggy bag e… “Ho visto la mia donna da sogno al bar gettare la metà del suo pasto, e la mia mascella ha colpito il pavimento. È perfetto comunque, ma se lei spreca, si tratta certamente di un grosso problema”.
